Gilroy Unified School District provides education and supplemental enrichment programs to more than 10,000 students annually. It offers learning opportunities to students from kindergarten through grade 12.The district also provides preschool, adult education and outreach services to over 150 families. Gilroy Unified School District offers instructional materials in the areas of reading, mathematics, social science, science, health and physical education. It additionally provides professional development and support services that assist teachers with workshops, seminars, demonstrations and follow-up coaching. The district operates elementary, middle and high, as well as community day school centers. Gilroy Unified School District receives grants from various local service organizations, such as the Rotary Club, Lions Club, the Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Gilroy. It works with the Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber, as well as Gilroy City Council to focus on community issues, such as growth, traffic, planning, parks and facilities.
