My insurance company set me up with this agency for transportation to the Cleveland clinic Twinsburg office. When I called to confirm the date, time of initial pick up, and return pick up time, I was given completely different information. Though the information had been relayed to them that I was on 24 hour oxygen they made no allowance for this. Instead I was told to be ready by 7:15 for a 9:30 appt that was only a 50 minute drive. Also though I'd be finished by 11:00 they wouldn't come pick me up until their other rider (who was not going to the same place) was done, no matter how long it took. They were rude and unapologetic, and their only response to my every comment was ("so do you want to cancel then"). I have pulmonary fibrosis and chronic respiratory failure. I cannot be without oxygen. The 02 cannisters I have to carry with me weigh 30 pounds and will last four hours total. Neither Claudia nor her supervisor (I assume) Diane had any empathy or professionalism in trying to resolve this issue. Instead I got "well, what if you were in an accident or something-you'd still run out then and there'd be nothing you could do about it". REALLY!!!! Wrong profession. I will definitely be filing a complaint with my insurance company. This agency is basically discriminating against the handicapped. They refused to make allowance for my oxygen needs in lieu of getting paid for 2 transports in one trip . if I could give no stars I would.
