Provided by YP.comI was alone with my dog in the waiting room when the vet came through the front door, back from lunch. She looked at me and instead of saying hello, she said, "Will you NOT have your dog on my chair, it makes holes!". The reason my well-behaved 78 pound dog was quietly sitting on the chair, (a cheaply built chair with a plastic covered seat), was because I had just gotten her groomed (at $60), and I didn't want her lying on a dirty floor. Animals are obviously in a vet's waiting room. I don't understand the fuss over some plastic-covered chairs but I will never go back there and if you are hoping for a vet to treat your baby with love, you won't find it at Bay Clinic. I have to comment on Jared's comment...I had my animals there several times, (between 2 dogs), and they never called me at home ONCE to see if everything was ok...(my first dog was asthmatic so if ANY animal should be checked on, it would have been him!)

Provided by YP.comThe thing I love most about Bay Vet Clinic is that they are like a small family, and you feel like your pet is part of it. Plus they call after you bring your pet in to make sure everything is ok!

Provided by YPmobileAfter a house fire, we brought our 2 year old cat in to be treated for severe smoke inhalation . We knew he didn't have good odds of survival but wanted to try. After checking him over we were given our choices and had to make the extremely hard choice to put him down. The vet and her staff were so compassionate to our family throughout the process and well after. I can never thank them enough for helping us through such a hard time . I will recommend this vet clinic to any and all!!!

Provided by YP.comTook my female cat to this clinic for Chronic Constipation. Staff showed us an outlined plan of treament listing a high and low amount to what the bill might be. They kept her over night. When we picked her up the cat looked near dead, throwing up sick, we were told there was no chance of mega-colon and that she had a neurological problem with her bowel do to her tail being short. A medication was perscribed and was told if she didn't get better she'd have to be put down, in the end we were charged 500 dollars, the high end. 5 days later we went to manistique, mi for a second opinion, they took an exray saw she had a blockage, put her out, removed the blockage and now the cat is perfectly healthy but does heave mega-colon which Bay Vet assured she didn't have. This Vet did all this in 1 day for half the price.
We contacted Bay Vet about their negligence and were dismissed everytime given a different story why they wouldn't refund any money saying she covered her bases covered.
I will say the Techs were very freindly but the veterinarian wans't animal friendly at all, she seemed more like a polition prepared for what to say when anything was asked about her poor judgement. If you have deep pockets and just need to get your animal shots this is an ok place to go but if you want to be charged reasonably and have your pet treated with respect. Or have a vet who actually cares for animal this is the worst place to go. Find someone who'd rather see your pet live then have to be brought back to be put down, like she suggested many times
