Life is constantly filled with adjustments. These adjustments often create more stress and problems for us than we’re used to, and sometimes we need a little help finding the way through. My goal when working with you is to help you find, create and access the resources within yourself to solve and manage these life problems more easily. The goal is not to be in therapy forever. Instead, come to learn more about yourself, gain the insight needed to make real lasting change, and improve your emotional well-being and relationships in your life. It’s never too late for couples having trouble to make changes in their relationship. I am confident that through play, laughter, and fun, children and families can navigate the most difficult of challenges. My experience comes from my time spent working at The University of Connecticut’s Humphrey Clinic, the CHR Child Outpatient program, and The Bridge Family Center. I’ve worked with children, couples, and families treating a wide variety of issues including navigating conflict and communication issues, natural difficulties that arise during adolescence, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I’ve also completed the Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy and use the Gottman Method in my work. The Gottman Method builds on my instinctive approach to treatment of increasing self-awareness and developing new skills to manage life’s problems. I look forward to welcoming you into the therapeutic space to begin your journey toward healing and happiness.
