Fivew Starts means first class here on YP. Absolutely this place is first class. After a horrid experience across town for our boy, we needed to change. My friend suggested Dude Ranch. I went out to see (a bit out of town) and I'm real glad I did. Clean, Quiet., Friendly. I really feel the place is safe and that the staff is very good with dogs. My boy came home bouncy and upbeat. He seemed to not want to really leave when I came to pick him up!

The only thing is I wish they offered gift certificates or pre-pay discounts. I know our travel plans for work and I'd like to take advantage of it.

But we're coming back!

Wow - You look and look to find the right place for our baby - it is so hard. But WOW we found the Dude Ranch, and went ourselves to look and see. GREAT. I don't know about all the reviews here and elsewhere, but our experience has been great. Our baby has stayed here three time and each time she came home happy, healthy and looking great! She never smells bad coming home and always looks fresh. I just wish I had found this place years ago. We'll be back!

BEWARE of the Dude Ranch! My dog can home with an EYE INJURY after being boarded for 1 week with no contact with other dogs and the staff didn't notice or contact me! When I picked him up, I was immediately noticed some thing serious was wrong with his eye and asked the staff what happened - I was told the staff wiped his eye for discharge 3 days earlier and then they told me I should take him to the vet immediately!! I rushed him to the vet - he had a HOLE in the center of his eye . He's been in a cone and on 4 medicines for 3 weeks and it hasn't healed. We called for weeks to complain and see if we could at least be reimbursed for the $200 boarding charge, but the manager didn't return our calls. When we finally talked to her, she argued with us and said it was ALLERGIES! She said some things that were utterly stupid and rude...this person should not be running a business. I DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE AND THE MANAGEMENT IS AWFUL. Please do not take your pets here.

They are super friendly. Also, I had a very hard time finding a place to board my dog that did not group all the dogs together for play time. I dont want my dog mingling with other dogs most of the day - it scares me because he is still a puppy and he is a husky and he can be hyper around other dogs - we are still working on this with him. Also, I worry about the anxiety that would give him when he is so young and not used to being around packs of other dogs. It is stressful already for them to be away from their owners, why the added stress of required group mingling? It might be okay for some dogs, but not all. Not only are they super with cleanliness and comfort, they are secluded away from traffic - I have a husky so my concern is high with me being out of town and him being in a facility with group play & getting out of a fence or something and getting hit before anyone even knows he is gone. I think they have a one of a kind facility and they are staffed 24hrs and offer an atmosphere I trust my pet's comfort in.

This is a great place. its everything in one place. Mo only was I able to find a class for my dog, they have daycare, boarding and grooming......plus some of the best prices around for premium dog food. And its in Glen Allen near where I live.



It gives me peace of mind now when I board my dog that someone is always there (plus for a little extra he gets his own TV.
