Provided by YP.comI got the owner Doug the first time I called. He took the time to go through everything with me and answered all my questions. I have used this company twice. They show up on time, have a professional appearance and demeanor, speak English, and know what they are doing. I thought the price for both jobs was reasonable, as well as the amount of time they were at my home. I called Doug after the second job just to tell him he has earned a loyal customer. I will definitely recommend Able Electrical Service to my family and friends.

Provided by YP.comThe service was good, but way too pricey. He was here for 15 minutes and charged me $120!! This is what he did - probed an outlet, told me it was not my electric, but wanted to look at the dryer cable connection in the back - he removed two screws off the back of my dryer to expose the cable connection and told me my dryer was toast and that I'd need a new one. Then he asked me for a check of $120!
Seriously, that was it.
On top of that, the soonest appt was 4 days. There was no appt confirmation the day of, or the night before. When I made the appt I was told I was the first appt and he would be here between 7:30 - 8:00am. No show at 8:15, so I called and was told I was the second appt - no time was given. It ended up being 9:15.
On a positive note the receptionist, Phil was very nice.
I stumbled upon this review while online. I have contacted the customer and refunded $40.00 for the timing mix up due to a busy holiday schedule with respect to timing of the service call. I also tried to explain that there are hidden costs that customers may not always realize that drive the cost of a given service such as rising fuel cost, rising cost of employee benefits, a 13.2 percent unemployment rate. I do not know that lessens the blow but unfortunately they are a fact of every day life & business.I also advised her that we would appreciate a phone call in lieu of a negative online response that may have never been found. They dispatched a very polite technician named Russell who was very thorough, explaining hat he was doing each step of the way. He found the problem and fixed it in short order, and we were back in business. Thanks, Russell...and thanks, Able; you have a future customer for life!
