I enjoy going to Goodwill frequently, its fun to find unique items that are no longer available at stores or to get a great deal on a newer item.

However the Glen Carbon store is apparently under its own management company. The prices are extremely high compared to other stores and they make up their own rules. Example they have a sign posted Linens $6/pair but if you can't search long enough to find the mate to one panel they still charge you $6. They have a sign that post childrens books for .50 however when you get their the register the have conviently used a PERMANENT marker on that back of the book to change the prices. Please don't WRITE on the books, show some respect! They also only mark some random things as half off such as half off of red media or half off of red housewares. No one there has a clue what is going on!

One of the worst Mers Goodwill stores - large percentage of mark-ups with huge defacing prices written inside the garments, basically ruining them. Constant, misery-making announcements over the loud-speaker about items you could care less about. Constant turnover of the staff - but who can blame them. Entirely worth it to drive to Missouri to avoid this store.

Rip off pricing. April 2016 Glen Carbon Goodwill is trying to sell a "vintage" Blues jersey for $125. Other GW stores are selling same jersey for $5. This store has a long run reputation of extremely high prices. If you want to help the unfortunate, donate at another GW. They are exploiting the ignorant and maybe the unfortunate
