- 10 Review Do Not Use This Business

Do not use this business, they are very unethical! I originally called Thermador and they came out and said I needed a high limit switch for my stove a part that they would need to order. I asked how much that would be, the tech said this part was very inexpensive and should not cost much at all. He said he would call to reschedule once the part was received. Unfortunately Thermador called to say that they can't work on appliances without a serial number on the stove,we bought the house with these appliances in it so we don't know why there gone. They are on the attached microwave. So they refereed us to Red and White Appliance Srv. I called then and told them what part was needed and they too had to order it. Once they received it they said it would be a $90 service call plus the part. I said Thermador told me it would be inexpensive and that I saw it online for $25 and change. She said it was a panel that was very expensive. The tech came with a very small part. When he turned the stove on he said that it was the wrong part and that the panel that was needed was about $500 - $600. He also said that my door needed to be repaired or replaced. He had not opened the panel in the stove to confirm this but he said he knew this because he worked on these all the time. At that point I went to get my husband. Once he came in the tech agreed he should have the electricity turned off. He found that 2 wires were burned and he fixed them. Then he put the original part on. I asked why he did that since he had said it was the wrong part. He really didn't explain and just said the stove worked now. He would not leave the original part as my husband asked. He said Thermador doesn't allow this. I called Thermador later and they said they always leave the part with the customer. There are multiple part numbers on the receipt but our part number is not on the receipt. I called the owner of Red and White, Bill and explained the above and he said he would call back. He did and said the pricing is done per a BlueBook. He said the part was $59 and change, he still didn't explain why I was quoted one price and my final price was much higher; $280. He said the part numbers on the receipt are just used for inventory of parts the tech has with them. I asked "then why isn't our part number not on the receipt" since obviously he had it with him. Bill just gave me a bunch of this and that and never addressed anything. The way I figured it, once the tech stopped trying to get us to fix things not necessary, he spent 15 minutes fixing our stove; so the charge should have been $90 plus 59.00 and taxes so no more than around $160.00, not 280.42. I did log a complaint with Thermador against this business. I only gave them a one so I could write this review.
