Provided by YPmobileATTENTION SERIOUS BRIDES: I just want to start off by stating that THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE REVIEW. PLEASE INQUIRE FOR THE FULL REVIEW and I will gladly email a complete and thorough review of my experience. My email address is listed at the end of this post. This post is to serve as a precautionary warning about this vendor.
Also, I planned my wedding entirely on my own. That means that I researched, found, interviewed and tested out each and every vendor before finalizing a contract with them. Taking that into consideration and judging by her portfolio pictures, I thought I had booked an incredible vendor, but was proved immensely wrong throughout the entire duration of my wedding. That being said, using Farabela’s Touch (Farabella’s Touch/Farabel(l)a’s Events/etc.) was the BIGGEST MISTAKE I made in terms of hiring someone who is supposed to fulfill their duties as promised in a contract.
For starters, the owner Fara(bella), is not very professional. During our “sample building” appointment, Fara and I (in the presence of my mother as witness) agreed on several changes that were noted in the contract. I came in a second time to see a new sample with the changes and finally agreed on the centerpieces that would be made. Those changes were never delivered at my actual wedding.
Second, I had MANY issues with things that WERE NOT delivered vs. things that were improperly done. For example, my house was supposed to be decorated from the night prior to the wedding (as promised by Fara); she ended up not showing up until 8:00AM the MORNING of my wedding. In addition to showing up late, she DID NOT deliver many of the items that were promised in order to conduct the morning photography session (such as the candle bearers’ candles, the ring boy pillow, the flower girls’ baskets, couple of the boutonnieres), as well as the half of the arrangements that were to be used as decoration in my bedroom/house. The banquet hall was NOT done as promised in the contract. First off, my lobby was left COMPLETELY bare. ABSOLUTELY NO decorations or ARRANGEMENTS were present. It was clearly written in Fara’s handwriting, on the contract that the lobby would be fully taken care of. The centerpieces weren’t what I had ordered and specified after the two sampling appointments (pictures will gladly be provided). They were not only missing important details, such as pearls on the stand to cover up the holes and tulle on the base, but were missing FLOWERS!
The best part of all this, ladies and gentlemen, was my church. The ceremony was to start at 5:00pm and when we arrived, what did we see? NO FLOWERS. AT ALL. In turn, we had to wait until after 6PM to start the ceremony. This caused major problems. When Fara and her crew finally decided to show up, they didn’t even deliver what was ordered/promised. My cathedral was left bare, my aisle was flowerless and my alter arrangements were COMPLETELY wrong. The greatest part of all this was that she was sprawled all over the aisle trying to set the aisle runner straight WHILE her behind was exposed to all my guests. Really professional! She didn’t even bring the flowers to the church. Instead she brought items that were not even mentioned or agreed upon, such as broken electronic branches and a furry vase. What the hell?! As for the ring pillow, flower baskets and candles: the pillow was dirty, the baskets had, NO JOKE, 10 petals each and the candles were so thin and flimsy that they were delivered broken. Thankfully, I was SUPER over prepared and had bought my own ring pillow, baskets and candles.
I have pictures of the contract along with photos of the samples she created/promised to deliver, as well as photos of my ACTUAL wedding day and what was & wasn’t delivered. I will gladly email those images to anyone who requests to see it as proof of the inept qualifications of Farabela. Please inquire at [email protected]
