Provided by YP.comI just ate here. It was great. I don't know why I have never bothered to stop in before today. I have passed by here many times. The food and the service were excellent. The price was fair as well.

Provided by YP.comThis is my favorite Peruvian restaurant in Glendale. Great lunch specials and decent portions. Service is good and no waiting if you go before 12:30. Love the seafood fried rice, steamed fish and classic beef dishes.

Provided by YPmobileCame here for lunch with some friends and i grabbed the lomo saltado and it was pretty good. The bits of steak were tender and flavorful with a good amount of veggies and fries mixed in. They give you some really nice hot and fresh bread sticks that came with two slightly spicy but addictive sauces.

Provided by YPmobileWas initially hesitant as there was only one other party in the restaurant but it was a Wed night so we gave it a try. Wow, am I glad we did....delicious. I had the grilled salmon with basil rigatoni. There were two large pieces of fish seasoned and grilled perfectly and the pasta was delicious. Service was very friendly and attentive. Strongly recommend - I'll be back.

Provided by YP.comMy wife and kids had a horrible time at this restaurant, i lived in Glendale for many years, I'm also original from Peru and know my people very well. everything was fine, until I ask for ketchup and "MORE" hot sauce, (i think she though i was asking for a hotter souce) the waitress, make a mistake and instead of ketchup, she brought us a hotter red sauce (rococo) and forgot about the ketchup. the ketchup was for my son's fries, and of course my son was terrify when he put the hot souce in his mouth thinking it was the ketpchup. my wife rushed my 4 year old to the restroom to wash his mouth. after the incident, the waitress (sandra) never even showed up to my table to apologized. one of the boss boys just simply said "sorry about that". before i paid the bill, I asked to speak to the manager but the boss boy said sandra was in charge, but she was on her luch break. I waited for her, she came to my table right before i left, and i said to her, the least you can do is asay is Sorry. she look up me very arrogant and said, I don't have to apologize because, you never asked for ketchup, so is not my fault. I reply, i did ask for ketchup and if this is just a misunderstanding all you have to said is SORRY. but she insisted it wasn't her fault. I said "what kind of service is this? she said, I been in business for 10 years and i'm doing good, and walked away. me and my wife couldn't believe it, i was so furious, paid the bill no tip of course and left. I simply do't understand can restaurants can be in business with people like this.
This is of course probably a relative of the owner, who thinks she doesn't have to said sorry to anybody. because she is related to the owner and she feels protected. from what I'm reading she makes lots of mistakes, never took the order in writing. our order was served by the boss boy late, don't know exactly where she was after food was served. the place was too dark and with a cold felling.
If you are the owner and you are reading this review. tell your relative (sandra) to get her own job some where else, or you will loose your customers just like you loss us.

Provided by YP.comIt's been at least a year since I've been to Lola's, and man am I glad I returned. I just enjoyed lunch here with two colleagues, and was just as delighted with the food as I was the first time.
Before Lola's, I'd never thought of having a stir-fried dish served over french fries with a side of steamed rice. But after reading the description of the Lomo Saltado, I tried it and it was awesome. And that's what I had on this visit as well, and it was just as delicious as I remembered.
One of my dining companions had the chicken version of this dish and he thoroughly enjoyed it, while the other had a type of Peruvian chicken fried rice which he described as "nummy." Couple all of that with the warm breadsticks served with a tangy, peppery cilantro-based dipping sauce, and you've got an explosion of flavors going on in your mouth!
As others have said, the atmosphere here is nothing to write home about. The furnishings are old and mis-matched, the interior is dated, dark and dreary and could use a bit of upgrading. But the food is consistently good, and it's a nice alternative to all of the chain restaurants along Brand Bldv.

Provided by YP.comLola's is a decent place for lunch. Service was a little slow, but if you have time then definitely give Lola's a shot.

Provided by YP.comConveniently located on Brand Blvd, Lola's offers authentic Peruvian dishes. The signature chicken dish (rotisserie chicken with two sides) was very nice. The rotisserie chicken was excellent. The side salad was simple, but fine. The Garden Rice was also simple (plain white rice with corn, carrots and beans mixed in), but nice. Service was pleasant but slow given the fact that there weren't many other patrons there when we were there. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, nice but not fantastic.

Provided by YP.comWent to Lola's on a group lunch with my colleagues and in spite of the big blue "B" rating in the window, I have to say the food was quite tasty. After some deliberation over what to have - Rotisserie chicken? Caesar salad? or something called Lomo Saltado, which is beef stir fried with French Fries, onions and tomatoes, and served with rice? Wait...what? Fries AND Rice? Have to say it was initially off-putting, but when our sever brought it to the table, I was pleasantly surprised. The beef was tender and flavorful, the onions and tomatoes stir fried to perfection, and near-perfect fries - not quite as big or wide as steak fries, but not shoestring potatoes, either. It seemed as though the fries were cooked to nearly-done then lightly tossed in with the stir fry. The steamed, white rice was served on the side. The serving size was perfect, though I feel as though I should go for a five mile run after all of the carb-loading I did. Service was a bit slow, so if you go for lunch, give yourself a little extra time, and call ahead for a group of 6 or more as the place is pretty small. All in all an enjoyable lunch, and a place I'll definitely go to again.
