Provided by YPmobileMy daughter attending this daycare and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. It is in a great location that backs up to the park. My daughter loved the staff there, especially the owner (Nilda). Not only did I feel they did a great job taking care of my daughter, I felt like it was a family setting... In the sense that the staff is gentle loving. My child learned so much and she also learned how to eat a variety bid different things. The curriculum for the children was on point too!! A very clean and friendly environment for any child... I would highly recommend LFP for your child...

Provided by YP.comGreat Place, would recommend it! I have two children who attended LFP from 2012 through 2014. I now have a newborn and once she is 18 months I will be sending her there as well. I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism of the daycare owner, Ms. Nilda. She truly runs the place like a daycare or nursery school, not like a babysitting environment, as some family day-cares do. The environment was full of learning, play-time and stimulating activities. The children made a lot of crafts and would bring home new creations on a daily basis. I especially was pleased with the level of physical activities provided for the kids. Whenever the weather is nice the kids are taken out once, sometimes twice a day to have fun. My children were always happy and miss the entire staff and still ask for them. I hope to visit them this summer!

Provided by YPmobileI am a mother of three with my youngest being 4 yrs old now, she went to little forest people last year. The two teachers wilda and milly are not very friendly! They are very cold not very alert of the children at all. My daughter was bit on the face by another little girl under their care, she also caught lice twice! Not to mention I found out wilda slept with my husband while we temporarily split and gad nerve to be cool with me every morning! Mind you im paying the b&$@h to watch my child! Ladies look out hoe on the loose! Terrible place!

Provided by YP.comGood Morning......I am a Mother of a 27 year old and a 5 year old. My 5 year old has been going there since she was 3. Her last day was right before the first day of school (this Sept. 2012) because it was hard for me to let go of such a wonderful daycare. When I first went in the "girls" were patient with all my questions and needs....including my high anxiety about potty training since I had not done that in years. Miss Nilda as I like to call her, is an honest, caring and responsible person and so are the "girls". I can honestly say that I have no complaints. My child had a caring, safe, clean, fun, creative, and learning environment. When my child started kindergarten she surprised me on how well prepared she was and is ahead in her class... thanks to Little Forest People. It is a shame that a person can take a business issue and make it a personal issue and attack such a great place like Little Forest People. I am forever grateful for all Little Forest People has done to take care of my child. I will never forget them.....Hugs to Miss Nilda and the "Girls" for all that you do....just keep doing what you are doing...... Just like the movies, you can read a bad review and then you see it for yourself and find that it was the best movie you ever saw and that you almost let one bad review get in the way....Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Provided by YP.comSent my son here (temporarily). It was convenient and close to my home, however, not necesarily the enviroment I was looking for when it came to my son. Depending on weather, children spent most of the day outside, but come rain, snow, winter etc. the children are indoors. Setting located in basement of home, no windows and a bit claustrophobic. I really never got an update of my childs progress. Clean place, but for the little time I had my son there, I was not a fan.
I would highly recommend *Childcare by Rebecca, inc. My child who is now in 3rd grade went into kindergarten with knowledge of a 1st grader. The owner is very resonable and takes pride in caring and teaching children.

Provided by YP.comAs a parent and grandparent of children who attended Little Forest People (LFP), I highly recommend it and I am once again preparing to enroll another granddaughter, based on my experience with LFP. From the clenliness, their daily activities and the very personable daycare providers, just to mention a few, LFP is an examplary daycare I would always consider and recommend.
I did my own homework before finding LFP as I was looking for a quality daycare. If you are a parent who, like me, is very particular about who cares for your dhild and aren't just looking for a babysitting service, but rather for a place where children learn how to play well with others, learn academically in preparation for their future school setting, and receive that personal attention as they would at home, that is what I want for mine and found at LFP. I also welcomed the provider's daily reports, concerns and suggestions which have been very helpful to me.
Do your homework as I've done mine, and judge for yourself.

Provided by YP.comIn response to the other "reviewers", Like I stated in my previous post.. The owner made me feel VERY comfortable! I would ave never expected her to be so cruel.
Besides my daughter becoming sick (and still fighting it til this day), my fiance lost his job.
My daughter was diagnosed with her illness over the weekend.. I called then (left a message)..called Monday (left a message).. Called Tuesday (left a message)... NO calls back... Then on Wednesday, I finally got her on the phone to fill her in on my daughter being ill and my fiance losing his job. All these horrible things happening left me on the verge of a breakdown.
I am the only one bringing income into my family at the moment and now having to move into my mothers home in order to make ends meet. I begged and cried stressing to her that that security deposit is needed more now than ever. She had no remorse and in her words (verbatim) "OH! Man... that sucks"..
If on the day that the tuition payment was due, I told her I could no longer pay, I would completely understand that she could not refund me my security deposit. I would have not even asked! In this case I gave her prior payment for time I did not use AND in addition she absorbed my security deposit. STILL with no valid explanation.
Ok so I didnt give her a full 2 weeks notice, but I did infact prepay her for services my daughter did not even recieve due to her being sick. I did not ask to be refunded for that... I just requested the security deposit. I could not predict that my finace would lose his job.
The touching story about her helping your family out when you had nothing is what I would expect from anyone with a heart! I would and have done the same to many others during hardship. There was that " grey area" in your case where she was able to provide you sincere courtesy and not accept your payments, Yet, she knew my situation and left me with "OH! Man... that sucks" and followed it with a slammed door in my face.
There is no question that my daughter was coming home in the condition she was in (numerous bug bites), poor communication skills etc, however as i stated in my previous post, I NEVER raised any complaint leaving room for improvement. Where was that grey area when it came to my financial hardship? I wasnt asking for free services.. I was simply asking for the "Security deposit" that she said I would never lose. I trusted her... otherwise I would have never left my child there.
What was so terrible or astronomical about giving me my security deposit back? She already had the full payment for the childcare that I did not even use due to my daughter being sick. Why did she need to absorb my security deposit in such a harsh way? My post is NOT stating the place is filthy or that the children get abused.. Im just simply stating my situation. I am an honest, caring, sincere person with no room for any foul, evil or negative intentions. I was and still am very upset that a person who claimed that she would genuinely care for my child had no compassion or remorse for our unforseen circumstances, especially after having payment for unused time. A security deposit should never be compromised to "pay employees"... this is what the tuition payment is for.
I am not asking for cheer leaders or beign combative what so ever.. again.. stating my situation and MY REVIEW about her character towards ME and my family... I can count on ONE hand how many times I have EVER had to express my poor feedback on anyone or any business...
Never saw ONE review on this place before, but by the reviews that are NOW being posted, it actually saddens me more that she could not search within her to extend that "grey area" courtesy to me and my family in out time of need.
All I wanted was for her to do the right thing... nothing more.. nothing less...

Provided by YP.comI find it very hard to believe that anyone could speak badly about Little Forest People Daycare. I have two children that have attended this daycare and were very happy there. I was one of those parents that were very nervous about finding a place to watch my daughter while my husband and I were at work. I researched and interviewed with many places till I found Little Forest People. The day that I went to meet with the owner I felt such a great relief. She was very professional but as a parent herself, very understanding on how it was to leave your child in the hands of strangers. Till this day I have never regretted my decision to have my children go to this daycare. They had such a great experience at this daycare, making friends, learning but also having the nurturing that was required at their age. Till this day my children still talk about the daycare and their memories there. My daughter is now 16 and my son 11. I recommend people here all the time and they have never complained of any wrong doing. They as well have been happy with their decision to send their children there. As for kids going to the park and getting bit, I am sorry this happened to your child but this can happen anywhere. My son who is now 11 yrs old went to school (private) and came home with 6 bites on his leg, it happens and this was inside.
As for the security deposit situation, this is not a reason to put this daycare on blast and make other people think that this is not a good daycare. When it comes to children I am very cautious on what is said and done. It is very hard for parents to trust strangers with their children now a days and to know that this is definitely somewhere that parents can go to and leave their child while they are at work and know that they have nothing to worry about is hard to come by. This is an issue that you should address with the owner yourself. I understand your situation but you did sign a contract. Whether you thought the owner said one thing, you signed the contract.

Provided by YP.comAs a parent of 2 children that have attended Little Forest People , I am in awe of how someone can try and tarnish someones livelihood by posting negative comments when they themselves admit that they did not meet their contractual obligations. Little forest people goes beyond their duties as a daycare center. Since the moment you bring your child in the morning and pick up your child up, you know that they are safe and in the hands of a staff that does everything to make sure your child is comfortable. They understand your child's fears and worries and comfort them accordingly. The children are embraced by the owner and staff with love and care. Since actions speak louder than words, I will share 2 experiences that show how humane and unbelievable this daycare is.
My family and I lost everything in a fire 4 years ago, we lost everything except the clothes on our backs. The owner and staff ran a network of gathering clothing, shoes, etc to help my family get back on their feet. During this horrible time, every time I attempted to make my payment that was due, the owner lovingly refused to take my payments for a complete month. The owner showed us tremendous consideration during this time. They did not have to do this at all. They could have taken their monies and turned the other way. This is what you call a compassionate human being, who is selfless and kind.
Also when it was time for my child to go to kindergarten and it was time to move on from Little Forest People because they dont do afterschool pick up- after paying the new daycare 1 months fee&/1 months security including a registration fee. My child refused to go with the new daycare provider when it was pick up time. My child expressed to me how she wanted Little Forest people to pick her up. Even though they did not do afterschool pick up, they rendered their services to my child for her entire kindergarten year, allowing my child to feel safe again and allowing me to work in peace. I was able to depend on Little forest people when i needed them the most. We have been fortunate in life to come across such amazing people. No words could express how thankful and grateful we were and still are to Little forest people. They go over and beyond their obligations to accommodate not only your child's needs but the parents needs as well.
If having these qualities makes you a wolf, then by all means let us join the pack.

Provided by YP.comDesperately seeking childcare for my 2 year old,I decided to enroll my daughter at this daycare. Upon meeting the owner she made me feel comfortable about services provided. I did not expect a security deposit, however,I was told I would be refunded if I ever decide to discontinue my daughters daycare needs. Although the upfront fee of $480 was a bit excessive,I was so desperate to place her as I could not afford to take anymore time off from work. My daughter did not start at the beginning of the week, however the owner insisted that I pay the full week since the schedule I chose was for 5 days. Everyday that I would drop my daughter off, she would cry hysterically.Yes, this is normal for children in a new atmosphere, but I would call numerous times throughout the day to check on her& was never able to get anyone on the line. This was a bit alarming but I chose to give them the benefit of doubt &hope for improvement. Every day my child was filthy& covered from head to toe w/ bug bites. The children are outdoors in a "forest" ALL DAY.No precautions taken to avoid this.My child has nothing but sleepless nights due to these bites that itch, become bloody & turn into scabs. My daughter was 90% potty trained before attending this daycare & has severely regressed. She is not using the toilet at all!
The owner was never around & the staff was not pleasant at all. In addition, when she would finally return my call, it would be after 9 pm. Business are not even allowed to contact a househould after 9pm. POOR business etiquette!
It was explained to me that once I w/draw my child, I would get my security deposit back OR can use it towards her last week. In my case,2 wks notice was impossible, leaving me a 1 week notice. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband lost his job&there was no way to afford care any longer. In addition,my child is sick & will be on antibiotics for 10 days. I paid $320 for 2 weeks of daycare ONLY using 1 week since last week my daughter was sick.
Owner says she will not refund sec deposit because she has to pay her employees.Isn't this what my pymnt of $320 is for? She has no valid explanation!CRUEL-INSENSITIVE-UNETHICAL! I will cont to warn others& direct them elsewhere.
I made payment of $320 for TWO weeks of childcare and used ONLY ONE week. So Basically they got away with a FREE $320 -
(last week PLUS my security deposit)
All i wanted was a refund of my $160 security deposit that the owner told me numerous of times that I would never lose! I am not & will never feel comfortable leaving my child in their care, especially after experiencing such poor service, lack of consideration & door being closed in my face!I never had to do anything like this! I was civil, cordial and compassionate as I cried and begged her for my security deposit back, and she literally closed the door in my face.
This is the first time I have ever had to report something like this. I feel as if I was robbed, therefore, I will cont to report, write reviews & warn other parents and direct them elswhere. OH AND F.Y.I - I have photos and a log of the condition my daughter would come home in. Feel free to contact me with any additional feedback.
PARENTS BEWARE OF THIS WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING!
