Founded in 1889, Armstrong Garden Centers is an employee-owned and operated company. It is one of the largest retail nurseries in the United States that offers services to gardeners in California. The nursery operates more than 90 acres of growing grounds and greenhouses, as well as offers a selection of over 900 varieties of roses. Armstrong Garden Centers also operates nearly 30 retail stores. The nursery s stores provide fountains, pottery, and garden tools and gift items. In addition, its product list features boysenberry, peach, seedless Valencia orange and hibiscus plants. The nursery sells small flowers, blooms, water gardens, landscape plants, fertilizers and organic solutions. Additionally, it operates a nature center that provides birdhouses and bird seed and feeders.
