Since our inception in 2000, Coastal's goal in the world of marine art is not to be the biggest studio, but the best! Our secret to creating the finest fish replicas in the business is a blend of old world craftsmanship and today's state of the art technology. Unlike traditional skin mount taxidermy, where skins are stretched over foam forms only to dry out, shrink and crack, a fiberglass model will remain unchanged for years to come. Our replicas are painstakingly made of fiberglass from an original mold of the species being represented. Our castings create replicas of unparalleled definition and detail right down to the growth rings on the fishes scales. Each species of fish is available in wide range of sizes and poses. We are constantly adding new species and sizes to our mold inventory. Fiberglass is a choice medium for our work as it allows us to make an exact 3-D replica of each fish. We then handwork and painstakingly paint each model for a seamless, strong, and lasting piece of artwork.
