Gloucester High School is a four-year, college preparatory school that provides educational classes for students in grades 9 through 12. Established in 1939, the school offers classes in English, social science, history, mathematics, physical science, business and technology, art, and physical and special education. The school has a vocational arts department that provides automotive technology, residential building, carpentry, electrical and machine technology, cabinet making, culinary art and child study classes. The school also offers group counseling activities to teenagers, including domestic violence, teen parenthood, gang prevention, and grief and loss. Gloucester High School is operated by Gloucester Public Schools and is located in Gloucester, Mass.
