I took a basic skirt in to have hemmed. Several inches needed to be cut, so I asked that the gal leave me at least 1 1/2 inches of a hem just in case. When I went in to pick up the skirt on the day that was promised, it wasn't ready and was asked to come back tomorrow. When I went in the next day, the gal at the counter said that her sewing machine broke and she couldn't get parts until 10:00pm the night before. My skirt has been "handed" hemmed, and it was very poorly done. I'm not sure where the "broken sewing machine" came into play since it was obvious the stitching wasn't done on a machine. The hem that was left was only 1/4 of a inch. So now I have no material to let the hem out and the skirt was hemmed too short. I would not recommend this place. They did not honor their promised completion date and the workmanship was terrible. Basically my skirt is ruined. I wasn't even offered a discount for my inconvenience to come back twice for my skirt. I was very disappointed and would never go back.
