Well now, your $201 bill is nothing compared to my screwing! Rode my 2003 Electra 1000 miles, pushing 14 volts, good pressure etc. Sounded a little noisy so i took it to this guy at Sturgis Cycle. Ran a test and told me cam chain tensioner's let go and put metal into engine on cam side he could repair for $4500!!! WTF, he had me by the balls because I had no way to dispute the charge or diagnosis. I approved the job, he charged me $3000 for parts and $2500 for labor ($125/hr) He also told me stator was shorted to ground and had to be replaced, but I was pushing 14 volts for 1000 miles?!?! Got the bike back after paying $5500 and the charging system went bad. Mad Dog Mike said stator was shorted to ground again and replaced for free, however, now the voltage regulator was bad, they replaced it also but the bike only put out 12 volts. Anyway, finally found a bad chassis ground wire. AND to add insult to injury, he lost my only key for the bike! Add another $650 to fix their screw up!!!



Karma is a funny thing, he will get his someday. It is sad to realize there are guys out there that claim to be bikers only to screw bikers when their luck is down.
