Went to their shop that they had set up for the Sturgis event. That was the biggest mistake of the Rally. The shop is owned by an opportunistic crook. I took my bike in because it was misfiring. It sat there all day and they called to say nothing was wrong with it. I again explained what the problem was but when I went by the shop at 530pm they had not touched it. At 714pm they called up and said the bike was ready. When I showed up and asked what the problem was, they said it needed plugs and an air cleaner. I explained that I had changed the plugs less than 100 miles before that and that you dont replace a K&N air filter, you clean them. Even though I knew this was not the problem and stated it several times, things got worse. The owner gave me a bill for 426dollars and 2 1/2 hours labor. I was livid at this point. I knew they hadnt touched my bike prior to 530 and then they called at 714? My math is better than that, and at 125 dollars an hour shop rate I pushed the issue. He took 30 min labor off at the time but said if I wanted the bike I had to pay for it. He said if it was not right that he would refund my money. I stayed down on Main Street until the end of the night. As soon as I hit 65 mph, the problem was there just like it was before I brought it in. I took it back and asked for the refund as promised. He asked to take it for a ride so he knew it was still acting up. When he came back, he asked what I wanted to do. I explained that I had 2 hours of labor that did nothing and that he put parts on it that were not needed. I was going to take it to another shop. He would only refund 1 hour of the labor. When I asked him about his promise, he got major attitude. I told him that was unacceptable and that I would dispute the charges with the bank. STAY AWAY from this SHOP if you don't want to get ripped off.
