Provided by YPmobileI have always LOVED Hello Tokyo in Gonzales, but it has gone downhill! And after tonight's experience I will NEVER be back! We get there and ask for hibachi for two adults and four kids. They said it would be five minutes. When there was two whole hibachi tables completely open and 1 had a few seats left. No problem we waited. There were people that walk then right in front of us and a couple that walked in right after us and another couple that walked in about five minutes later. The people that walked in and front of us were seated at one table, than the people that walked in right after us were seated at another table, then we were seated at the same table and the other couple was seated at our table also. Then a chef comes out and tells us that our chef will be right out and goes to the table that was completely seated after us! By this time we had already been there for an hour and still didn't have a chef come out except the one that skipped us. The lady sitting next to me said I sure hope we don't get the bad chef cuz the rest of them are all cooking! The waitress walked over and I questioned her as to why they were being served before us when we were there first? She was extremely apologetic and said that she just complained to the manager about that! But it was the owners of life that had requested the next chef to go cook for her table and she gets whatever she wants! I told her I understand it's not her fault but I want to speak with the manager! She said sure! It took him another 10 mins to even walk into the room where I had to get up and approach him with my complaint! At this point the people that walked in right in front of me were leaving! And our chef had just started cooking! The exact chef the lady sitting next to me said was the bad one! The manager gave me nothing but excuses and said that the other table was smaller so they would be served first! I said no not in the restaurant industry! First one in should be first seated and served unless it's a simple item! He disagreed with me and said it's because it was a smaller table! He never not once apologized or tried to do anything to make his customer happy! I said no, the problem is the owners wife gets what she wants instead if the customers being treated properly! I'm a very loyal customer of this restaurant and would leave if my kids didn't need to eat but I will NEVER be back and he will lose a lot of business! He just walked away! What kind of man is this that manages a restaurant like this! No wonder people have quit going there! Well then we finally get our food! I ordered the filet and scallop combo. There were egg shells in my fried rice, the rice was not properly cooked since most of the pieces were practically raw, my steak was suppose to be rare and it was med well, and my scallops were burned! Not just over cooked either! I mean burned! Worst experience ever and because of the way the manager handled the whole situation I will not return! And I don't suggest anyone else go there either since they want to play favoritism!!

Provided by YPmobileI just ate at Hello Tokyo and the food was terrific! I had the Christy Salad and the Mermaid Roll. The tuna on the Christy Salad was very fresh. Best sushi I have had since moving from New Orleans
