The lady at the counter was extremely
gracious. I took some rings to have resized. The gentleman who I assume
is the owner and also the repairman
who would be resizing the rings needs
to learn the meaning of tact. Although
I was the only customer in the store,
there were four employees present.
This man looked at my rings under
his "microscope " and loudly began
to question me about my rings-
specifically the diamonds.
Where did I buy them?
What did I pay for them?
Was I aware of the clarity?
I guess he wanted to make me aware
my diamonds were below his standards.
I was embarrassed not because of his opinion of my diamonds but because
He was insensitive. I am confident that
His opinion was true. This information
and any questions he had for me should have been private. Not announced so loudly that customers at Kroger probably heard. My husband
worked hard and for years to buy the
type of rings I wanted. I waited 18
years so we could pay cash for them.
I am still grateful and delighted with
my rings.
I am sure Hancock Jewelers is a wonderful store with quality merchandise. I only wish some level of basic politeness was practiced by
this gentleman.
