I love my ring I ordered custom from Jared online in February of this year. I lost a bunch of weight and had to take it in to be sized. I'm getting married September 18th and this is my wedding ring. I picked it up yesterday and everything seemed okay. I got it home and put it in a box to keep until our big day. I took it out this morning, not even one day later, and one of the prongs fell off! I inspected the ring further and noticed the other side has a bent prong. Phoned the store I took it to, it's the closest to me but still an hour away. I bring it back in and the first manager I speak with accuses me of breaking it and being a liar. The second one was super nice and says they will repair the ring free of charge. I bought a warranty with the ring originally so I wasn't to worried about that because the repairs are covered under my plan, but I explained that I shouldn't be charged for the sizing because it resulted in damage to my ring(I was charged over $100). The manager then changes the charges to cover and extended warranty that I didn't ask for. I said no thank you I have a warranty and showed them my paperwork which very clearly stated that mounting was covered the first year. I was then told that it didn't cover my repairs and I would have to speak with a customer service rep over the phone. A phone call I made immediately that lasted over 30mins to then be told she can't refund a warranty. I explained about the warranty I already had purchased and was again told that it didn't core mounting. I read the paperwork that came with the warranty and offered to read her the number and the receipts for the original sizing and the new receipt dated less than an hour prior where they switched my sizing to a warranty of the same price and was then stonewalled, told again that I may have to pay for the repairs, denied a refund and was transferred at my request to the district manager which was a recording. I'm hoping to hear back from her in a few days. I can tell you that though I love my ring, the customer service or lack thereof, the treatment of myself and my husband, and the downright rudeness and sneakiness of this particular store has ensured I will never again say "he went to Jared."
