As the above customer noted, this was a terrible, terrible experience! I have shopped at the Country Shops for twenty years. Over the last two months, I have been treated so very poorly. A particular associate became very confrontational today when I asked her to confirm a price, stating the it was, "too near closing time." It was 4:40. A necklace broke when my hand simply brushed by it. I offered to purchase the piece and it was suggested that I was lying in an attempt to steal a handful of glass beads. When browsing through costume jewelry, I was scolded, advising that I didn't dare mix the items in with other items. Last but not least, another associate became very apologetic, mouthing the words, "You did nothing wrong...you did nothing wrong." Sobbing, I left the shop, stopping at the door to say, "If I have caused a problem I am truly sorry." I will contact the shop owner via writing within the next twenty-four hours. Given the size of the community coupled with the economy, one would suspect a welcoming and service-oriented shop; this is not the case. One employee will surely hurt this store's profits. Vendors should be alerted!!!

I have shopped at that antique mall several times and I must say the ladies on the floor are wonderful and do helpful. My most recent visit was great until checkout. I had questions and felt the lady I was dealing with was being rude so another lady took my stuff and proceeded to say I was being rude. I stated I could but nothing and she said do it. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager. I never raised my voice. I was in tears and the manager was still nasty. I would never treat a customer like that and they lost my business
