I also did a transfer of a firearm and am in the process of another. I found each person at this business to be respectful, honest and knowledgeable. I have trust in these people and believe everyone to be totally honest. Yes, I trust them with family collectibles without reservation. This I can say. With over 30 years in business. Being a woman I was very impressed. Also. Thank you...there is more business in our future.

If you need to transfer a firearm at a reasonable price and no hassle- go to Winfrees Firearms in Yorktown. The folks at Winfrees are just SUPER- they don't try to sell you anything, they don't pass judgement on whatever you bought, they help you fill out the paperwork, they just transfer your firearm with a smile; they will transfer guns from other FFLs and also from private citizens. I live in Hampton; the hassle and attitudes of ALL the gunshops and pawn shops in Hampton and a couple in Newport News when I tried to transfer a firearm from California was amazing! Only 1 place, Superior Pawn, would transfer that gun from California- they charged me $75 for the transfer plus $5 for a background check and told me not to order any more guns from California. This drove me to Yorktown to try Winfrees Firearms. Winfrees charged me $35 for a transfer and $2 for the background check on my last gun purchase, this gun was shipped in from Idaho. Now I go to Winfrees for all my FFL needs; I highly recommend Winfrees- they provide great service and appreciate your business. I'm Ray Hensley and I approved this review.
