John Long Middle School provides a range of educational opportunities for more than 450 students in grades six through eight. The school conducts classes in math, social studies, science and business education. It also offers educational programs for students with special needs. John Long Middle School supports the Destination ImagiNation program and provides instruction in music, art and technical education. The school operates a parent-teacher-student association that conducts meetings. It maintains a booster club, as well as offers athletic opportunities, such as volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, football, and track and field. John Long Middle School provides several extracurricular activities, such as band, theater and choir. The school operates a student council and is governed by the School District of Grafton.
