- I have been in the mental health field since 1996 and have worked with a range of issues and diagnoses. Using various therapeutic modalities, including Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and Energy Psychology, I have extensively and successfully worked with marriage and family issues, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief and loss, self-esteem and existential issues. Marcel Proust states, "The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes." Through counseling, it is my goal to help individuals and/or families gain "new eyes" through which to view current or past experiences and to discover how thoughts and beliefs shape our moods, behaviors, and relationships. James Allen states, "The life we lead is created by our thoughts. If we would like to improve our life we will have to improve our thoughts." I provide services to adults, children, couples, and families. Children's services are provided in a fun, inviting setting. The child is encouraged to express thoughts and feelings through art and play. Adult services are also provided in a warm, comfortable, confidential environment. All treatment is tailored to individual needs.
