Southern Alamance High School enrolls more than 1,300 students and has over 80 teachers. It serves students in grades 9 through 12. The school offers educational programs in English, mathematics, science, social studies, agricultural education, and business and information technology. Southern Alamance High School additionally offers courses in foreign languages, career development, marketing, and family and consumer science. Its athletics department offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, softball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, cheerleading, and track and field. The school supports several organizations that include the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), as well as art, dance and key clubs. In addition, Southern Alamance High School offers a youth apprenticeship program to prepare students for a specific industry occupation through academic instruction, technical training and on-the-job experience. It is located in Graham, N.C., and is a part of the Alamance-Burlington School System.
