Valley Middle School, established in 1955, is an educational institution that enrolls students in grades six through eight. The school is a part of Grand Forks Public Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. It provides Title 1 and special and computer education programs. The school also conducts classes in life skills and earth science. Valley Middle School offers a range of extracurricular activities that includes art, music, orchestra and physical education classes. The school also supports sports activities, such as cross country, softball, volleyball, football, soccer, wrestling, basketball, and track and field. Its library and media center is equipped with more than 15 computers and features a collection of over 27,000 books. Valley Middle School is located in Grand Forks, N.D.

I went here in 1955, one of the first 7th graders ,to attend, then they added the 9th grade section 1yr later and I was one of the first 9th graders attending ,my 3rd yr. at the school. Was very exciting to be in that catergory. I remember the girls gym outfit ,white one piece ,sleeveless, belted jumpshort , hated it. Can't remember if there were yearbooks for it [the school]. Do so remember the grocery store across the street, everyone loved there glazed donuts; a treat before school started. I walked a mile each way, to that school during the years I attended. Then went on to Central in town, across street was the

YWCA, were I learned to swim in the gym class from CHS. My uncle was a principal there later also Mr. A Hagness, don't remember what yrs though.
