Operational since 1966, Knickrehm Elementary School serves more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school maintains a staff of a social worker, technology assistant, nurse, speech translators, paraprofessionals, media integration specialist, secretaries, teachers and counselors. It features computer and mobile laboratories, as well as classrooms that are equipped with laptops and computers. Knickrehm Elementary School offers classes in physical education, music, English, math and art. It also provides junior achievement, extended reading and learning programs. The school s media center features over 7,000 fiction, nonfiction and reference books, dictionaries and encyclopedias. It additionally maintains a parent-teacher organization.
