Provided by YP.comI have had multiple transmission done at monte's over the years. They always do the job right. The estimate is always right on and the people there are easy to work with. It did at times take a little longer than i had hoped but I'd rather it took a little longer and was done right than it was rushed. Even when something didn't seem right on one of my vehicles after the warranty expired, Monte fixed it at cost. Would recommend them to all my family and friends. A rare Family run shop that has been my go to repair place for nearly 3 decades. It's hard to find a place that has been around that long and hasn't had multiple owners. I always know what to expect when i go there. Thanks Monte's

Provided by YPmobileAfter investing 3 weeks into montes, he gets a seinfeld transmission nazi notion and practically said the words- no transmission for you! Customer service at its worst! Even if your back is against the wall and you have nowhere else to turn, never put your trust in monte!

Provided by YPmobileDropped my truck off the night before as monte advised so they would have all day to work on it. Called them at 3 the next day to find out how it was going. They hadn't even begun to work on it and said they wouldn't have time until the next day- even though I had made a scheduled appointment the week before. I told him I wished someone would have called to let me know so that I wouldn't be without my truck for 2 days. He told me to come get it

Provided by YP.comMy aunty had a horrible experience with Monte. When she first went in Monte seemed like a nice man and so they felt confident that this man will get the job done right. They trusted him. She needed a transmission for her 2002 town&country minivan. He offered a rebuilt or a new one for just $100 more so of course my aunty and uncle chose to get a new one. It took Monte 3 weeks to get this done. It cost $2300. Only a couple weeks went by and the van started to act up. The speedometer went out and it wouldn't shift out of first gear. We took it back the next day and talked to Monte about it and it took him an hour to figure out that the van did not have a transmission cooler. He said this could have been the problem why the previous transmission went out. Now, if you are a transmission specialist wouldn't you look for that, especially if you're installing a new transmission!? Or wouldn't you figure that out while trying to figure out what caused the previous transmission to die?!? Anyways, so he installed the cooler for $150. No discount or anything. He charged full price for that. 2 days after installing the cooler we drive the van one morning and all of sudden hear this loud BOOM noise like as if I had ran into something. The van would not come out of gear and was stuck. A few minutes later it finally went into neutral somehow and I was able to push it to the side of the road. I told my aunty and she called Monte and told him what was happening. He gave attitude, was raising his voice and even hung up on her. Of course she was upset while talking to him but he was very unprofessional and disrespectful on the phone. I couldn't believe all of this had happened not even 1 month after fixing this problem on the van. Now we are starting from scratch all over again with this van but after he is done with it this time, he better not try and charge my aunty AGAIN for doing this all over again because it's not her fault and being a specialist he should have got it done right the first time! I would never recommend him to anyone ever!
