We could say a lot about this place and none of it is good. Poor communication skills, slow in progress and when we picked up the car, the shifter assembly was in pieces. It wasn't great to start with but they man handled it till it broke. The pitiful part is when we called to ask how much to repair, were told $1500. They just wanted to put us off! We will never use Scottys again or recommend them to anyone. What a crappy experience.

My wife and I had a serious rear axle bearings loss and happened to stop in time to avoid a on the road accident. I checked for reviews on auto repairs shops and found that scotty' had excellent reviews. They got us in the door at 7:30 am and found the problem quickly. Our rear axle bearing and drive shafts were shot. Things were so bad we actually had to have another axle shipped in from out of state for our 2003 Lincoln Town car. They took us back to our Roadway Inn and kept in constant contact as to how things were going. They installed the axle and made sure the used axle they found was the correct one and that all the bearings and other parts were in very good condition.
Luke at the front counter was superb in giving us fair estimates on cost and helped us relax as much as possible and finished the job ahead of schedule. When finished they sent a car for us at our roadway inn and had our car ready to go with a fresh car wash and even helped with our luggage. I have always done my own car work since age 16 and now I am seventy so I have a lot of experience in knowing when a shop is giving us a fair deal. Even though the problem did cost a significant amount of money, I feel we got a very fair deal with service that was way beyond what anyone could expect. . If I lived in grand junction there is no where else I would go to get my auto serviced.

I took my car in to have the engine steam cleaned to find out where the oil was leaking from. Roger (or Randy) the owner was extremely rude and beligerant. He got even more rude when I had him talk to my mechanic because I didn't feel good about them doing anything to my car. There were things he said that I knew and my mechanic thought that they would've made sure they caused me more problems and money. He said that the spark plug wire was cracked and that water would get down in the engine and they would not be responsible for it. Then he tells my mechanic that he never said that. Uh yes he did ! Then he went to the lady behind the counter waved his hand towards me and said "That lady is F$%^& stupid." REALLY ? You're going to talk about your customers that way ? Funny, I worked at 2 auto parts stores at the front counter looking up car parts, have worked on my car and many others. I used to like this business and knew how most auto shops were from doing business with them. I was one who would look up and pull the parts, take care of problems with delivered parts and also dealt with the book keeping aspect of it. I knew who was good and honest and who I would never let touch my car. I would and will NEVER recommend Scottys to anyone !
