I attended WRC in 2018 and have been clean since! Since leaving, Ive gotten married, work a full time graphic design job from home, have a seven year old, healthy HAPPY son and am pregnant with my second child. My original wedding date was April 4th 2020… everything was shut down three weeks out because of COVID… the only thing more stressful than planning a big wedding, is rescheduling 3 weeks out!! I bring this up to share in the amount of stress in my life since leaving… and yet I still go to bed every night SOBER.

I attended 2 rehabs before WRC… I sat on a beach in Pensacola, Fl for a while… (in a posh rehab) graduated and was high the day I got home. Secondly I attended the Salvation Army in Denver which is nothing but a labor camp and a way to get new connections. So I also know what DOESN’T work… at least not for me.

I came to the WRC completely broken… unable to see any worth or value in my life, especially failing after two rehabs I worked so hard at. I had a beautiful son, but it just wasn’t enough… I always ended up with the same result… a needle in my arm. And then the guilt… it’s a vicious cycle and very very hard to break.

Addiction is not easy to manage no matter where you go for treatment… you have to be ready to do the hardest work of your life. Trauma therapy is absolutely no joke… and for me, the most important therapy I’ve ever had in my life. I healed from trauma I didn’t even realize I had. In most cases, addiction steams from trauma… you have to get to the source… HERE is where you will have that chance. I felt the staff was absolutely wonderful… they are a no nonsense staff. You will not walk through those doors and be able to manipulate the situation… which as addicts is EXACTLY what we need. And they aren’t there to waist time… people are dying every day… their job is not to make friends, but save your life. You get out what you put in… if you are really ready to make a change and ready to do the work, this is the BEST place to it!
