March 2016 - First time in the Minnesota North Woods. It was enchanting and worth the 9 hour drive. We were blessed with beautiful sunshine and the stars at night were amazing. The staff was wonderful. Shout out to Mike at front desk, Jimmy behind the bar, the kitchen staff, John the naturalist and Adam with the sled dogs. So many trails to explore, next time will stay 3 days. Thanks Bruce and Sue our hosts for a lovely experience!

The menu has mostly sandwiches and burgers, at this casual bistro. They asked us how we wanted our burgers prepared, always a good sign, and the fries were home-made, and cooked just right.

This was a wonderful time for us. Staff is exceptional! Food is fantastic. We will be making our yearly "Anibirthery" (Aniversay + Birthdays) to Gunflint Lodge. Be back this summer for the zip line...Thank you!

Beautiful facilities and staff made it an amazing vacation- as state employees during the shutdown, you provide a superior/amazing/excellent way to relax and be "OK"! Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our stay! It is indeed a beautiful area and we were so fortunate to have beautiful (albeit a bit unseasonably warm) weather. We really enjoyed that there is so much focus on nature and history. We participated in some of the resort activities and have to say that your staff is top notch! So refreshing to be around people people who truly seem to love their jobs. We have 5 kids and all came home with pleasant memories and comments on how much they enjoyed the stay. We travel a lot and we've had quite a variety of experiences, both positive and negative. We very rarely return to a place more than once because there is so much to see and do in our great nation. However, we have not only talked about returning (possibly in the winter) but have recommended your place to my parents. Thanks for some great memories!

We just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful time at your 'little piece of heaven'. This is our second visit to the Gunflint Lodge in 9 months, and we were equally as delighted as our first visit. Bar none, the service and experience you deliver to folks visiting is exceptional. Your team is first rate - Kaci, Adam, Marilyn, Don, Kacy, Bethany, Chris, Lance, Katie, Mark, Mandy, Vince, Sheryl, Dave, Curtis and many others worked hard to make our stay nothing but the best. We came to do some fall fishing - Adam made sure that we found AND caught fish while experiencing portaging and several of the area lakes. Everyday was an adventure! We are already looking forward to our next visit in the not too distant future!
