Provided by YP.comNot my wedding... I planned. Had a wedding reception here for 180...plus 22 children as was a kid friendly reception (18 at kids tables and 3 at parent tables and 1 in high chair. It was put together for simple but elegant evening... many compliments... black clothes but deep fall colors and a masquerade theme for bridal party as they entered. Dimmed lights a bit but you could easily see... candles... a kind of surreal feeling. The staff was wonderful while we set up and cleaned up. The tables best clothed but only the bridal party of 18 had chair covers with ties as seating in nice. Hostess stand provided is great for wedding book and seating "chart" for ushers to seat people at tables. The bar is quite beautiful and there is a perfect sturdy place with lighting for the cake to be center stage (all can see from anywhere) yet separated from dance floor by bridal family tables so with watch dogs definitely safe from turmoil. Set up is great for entry of couple while all are seated and a reasonable dance floor with great niche for DJ we hired who in addition to dance music from 7:30 to 11:30 also played preplanned music during dinner (apps at 4:30 and dinner at 5:30) and provided mic/sound for bridal party. We put the finger food apps and kids friendly dinner in bar alcove on wood covered pool table next to kids tables (you have to provide insulation sheets to put under your cloths for pool table to use it to not damage special wood cover and that also assured that no one set drinks on it later and caused damage). More grown up appetizers went on the side bar. We put 4 long tables for caterers food on dance floor (they provided linens to match he colors and their staff cleared all). This let us utilize more space as we did not want the tables crowded. There is a great space of two covered game tables in the corner by covered pool table with a good sized flat screen TV for kids table... bring a DVD and it keeps them entertained too. (we put plastic on wood covers and then made paper cloths with washable crayons and markers -- also some other kid items to keep kid friendly --- the kids could draw and keep as a keepsake (parts that managed to not get food on them :) anyway) We placed parent that had children at kids tables closest to the kids table mixed then up -- all 10 and under. Kids not in school yet sat with parents. At the bar you can run a DVD of pictures and such on the TVs at the bar. They let us bring in our own caterer and bartender. Part of kitchen can be used for keeping items warm, etc. ANd we paid a soda deposit which was nice... and ice was there too. We closed bar at 11 pm -- an hour before end at midnight... which left us hour to clean up. Took 6 of us to clear / bag tablecloths, (center pieces went home with bridal party members), clean bathrooms and mop after 35 minutes... another 20 minutes to load up bridal gifts. Everything was great. Price was fabulous. We were so pleased with everything and the savings allowed us to have an open bar with an announcement to please tip bartenders as they were doing it on the cheap for us too. Other than wedding attire, church, church decor (of which some beat guests back to reception for double duty) minister (friend, minister and DJ too did both for $600) and bride's dress... this entire reception... hall/linens/center pcs, DJ, bartenders, bar (alcohol and soda) and special wedding party gifts (we even gifted DJ and bartenders a nice bottle of wine)... anyway this was all done for under 5 K and almost 2300 of that was catered buffet food and staff to clear. Thank you to FOP Hall for letting us make this exactly how they wanted it... being able to bring in your own people saved a bunch.
