Attorney Christopher Hogan is rude and very unprofessional. We retained Christopher Hogan as our attorney, to complete what we thought was a simple real estate transaction. A few weeks after meeting with Mr. Hogan, I was advised by another attorney that Hogan and Associates, did not handle our real estate transaction correctly In fact, I was told that the legal advice that Christopher Hogan gave me was inaccurate and unethical. I thought I was making a good decision, hiring a real estate attorney to draft the legal documents for the sale of our investment property. Sadly to say, I made a horrible mistake retaining Christopher Hogan.
Christopher Hogan and staff failed to respond to my calls and email messages timely. In addition to that, legal documents were not drafted correctly, and the land contract was not registered by the law firm, as we were advised was apart of the $750 land contract retainer fee.

I felt heart broken and very disappointed, When I tried to address my concerns about the land contract, with Christopher Hogan . Instead of listening to my concerns, Christopher Hogan was belittling and very condescending. Over the course of our brief conversation...Christopher Hogan talked over me and scolded me like a child.
Sitting her reflecting back on the series of events that took place with Christopher Hogan it makes me question if perhaps he is suffering for some type of personality disorder. It's almost like he has a split personality . Prior to me paying the retainer fee, he appeared to be caring, concerned and promised to be attentive to my legal needs. However, once he got the retainer fee....he turned into a complete jerk. We paid $750 to retain this attorney for approximately one hour.

When I came back to him asking for clarification and to correct the errors made with the land contract, he refused to assist me.
I would not recommend this law firm to anyone. All of the other past client reviews on this web site are right on point, Christopher Hogan is an unscrupulous attorney, that provides inadequate legal representation. Hogan and Associates takes advantage of hardworking people that come to their law firm for legal assistance.

I have had a perfect experience dealing with Mr. Hogan, he helped me set up my trust and was very knowledgeable and efficient in handling this for me.

Didn't seem knowledgeable about the situation I was in. I noticed he said a few things that set off some red flags to me as being wrong. I googled him and found he had a 1 star rating in the yellow pages. I discontinued his services and then a month later received a bill that was dated for 2 years prior to meeting with him. The bill was heavily padded with made up dates.

Seemed knowledgeable at our first meeting for my husnabds bankruptcy. Talked me into filing jointly Dalite having no negative debt and near perfect credit. After filing and paying him we could barely get any response to any questions, rarely answered emails or put anything in writing, basically felt like he deserted us after filing BR. Later switched to have another firm handle our case and they told me I never needed to file BR in the first place and they had concerns regarding how my case was handled by Hogan. They were able to get me a discharge in a few months! We are still receiving bulls from his office that were satisfied in the BR! Do your research! Do NOT let him rush you into filing until you have talked to several attorneys! Look at Hogan’s reviews on yellow pages is all one star! Cost us thousands to fix his errors and years or rebuilding credit that did not need to be destroyed. If you go with him, get everything in writing in detail as to what he will provide, when, how he will respond to emails, etc...How to get money back if he does not provide his services. You can file a Grievance with the BR court if you have been wronged by this office.

Such a rude person. This man is arrogant and not nice at all. I couldn't believe how mean he was. Clearly he's not concerned about first impressions. Take your business elsewhere!

Mr Hogan is the rudest most arrogant man I have ever met. I would NEVER tell anyone to do business with this jerk.

I also had a horrible experience with this law firm. Very poor communication by Chris Hogan, extremely rude staff, inaccurate legal advice...My retainer fee check was cashed almost before I left the office. I was extremely disappointed and would never recommend this law firm in a million years. I also sent Mr. Hogan a letter expressing my concerns with my poor experience. I never received a response.

Absolute worst law firm in Grand Rapids, been dealing with since last June,2013...received 2 emails only....in all this time.* 8 months and 2 emails...and staff is incredibly rude . Sure Chris Hogan will smile and tell you he has it all under control and 500.00$$ please....to do what???? Something we could have done on our own much speedier......Do your self a favor....bypass this firm and move on...not worth your time or money.
