I love this place. They have great training classes and I can drop our dog off for play during the day!

I sent one of my dogs to Kim's 'boot camp' several years ago and it helped tremendously. When he passed away and I adopted a new puppy, I contacted Kim's to get him into a puppy class for socialization. THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE OR RETURN CALLS IN A TIMELY MANNER. I called several times starting on September 17th but did not receive a call back from anyone until October 16th. The trainer, Martha, started the call by telling me that she showed in their log that I was all set, but was following up with me because she didn't see that I scheduled for any training. We briefly discussed my puppy and I explained that I was mainly looking to socialize him with other dogs. She told me the next puppy class started November 9th but that my pup was on the border age-wise and that she would speak with Kim and call me back. Another 10 days go by and she finally calls back, leaving me a message that says they can't do anything for me as far as class goes, but offered a consultation appt. with Kim for $75 an hour. I am extremely disappointed ~ who runs their business this way?

Gave her half the stars (there...

She worked with us over a year ago but I didn't have account at time to leave review. To give a referral, I reviewed the trainer that did help us and thought fair to review here why we got a different trainer after taking Kim's class. I know she loves dogs. Our friend from church uses her for doggie daycare and loves her. I am only reviewing her on our training experience. Gave her half the stars (there could be none) because I felt she charged us full price and we got half the result. Our pet was a rescue and we had a lot to learn. I'm sure she has had successful training as others were progressing in the class. We all were doing the same things. As I said, we didn't know a lot and looking back, I felt that it would have been nice for her to say that we needed to skip the class and with an evaluation, do private training. Seeing our pet, why would she take money for class that was obviously not best remedy to our dogs concerns? I feel that she is the trainer and should be able to read a dog better (I say that now because we did find a trainer that did so, asked more questions instead of just teaching us techniques and finished the work with us more effective and worth the money spent). Kim didn't offer special private training until end of class. More money. I wish she had made it more personalized to be effective from the start and that she had spent more time helping us to understand our new rescue. Disappointment for us overall.

Best Dog Boarding Place in Grand Rapids!

Kim's K-9 is the best place to bring your dog for boarding. The staff is great to work with and you can tell that they really love dogs! Our dogs would fight the whole way walking into the place we used to board them, they now pull us into Kim's K-9. You never feel guilty leaving them at Kim's when you go on vacation, it is like they are on a vacation too.

We love Kim's K-9!

Kim's K-9 has provided us with several years of peace of mind over the holidays and whenever we travel. Both of our golden retrievers absolutely love going to Kim's and readily run in to play when we arrive! Kim's K-9 provides us with a safe, fun place for our dogs where we know they will be treated with love. The staff there is simply the best! No other place for us except Kim's!

Great for owner, fun for dog!

They took great care of my dog while I was on vacation. The dogs get social time with each other and their personal needs are met. They offer bathing services because the dogs tend to get dirty from being outside and playing with each other.

Highly recommended!
