Provided by YP.comPlymouth UCC is a gem. It offers inspired worship: thought-provoking sermons, inclusive atmosphere, and live music played on organ, piano, and sometimes drums, brass, guitar, bells, and assorted instrumentation. The choir sings diverse music, from classical to gospel, from international to spiritual.
There are young folks there; there are blue hairs there. The teens are taught to ask tough questions. The pastor has a once-a-year talk-back sermon. People of color are welcome (and attend!) there. Handicap people are welcome (and attend!) there. Single parents are welcome (and attend!) there. Gay folks are welcome (and attend!) there. And folks roll up their sleeves to do God's work: social justice, fair trade, homelessness, prison reform, stewardship of the earth, and more.
It's neither Heaven nor Iowa, but it's the kind of place open-minded folks love to call their spiritual home.

Provided by YP.comYou have to be there to believe it. The warm welcome, the open atmosphere, people of all ages, shapes, and sizes make this as open and affirming as it gets anywhere. I became a member there 11 years ago, and the welcome I received that first day (as unbelievable as it was) has developed into a sense of extended family that endures and grows every day. This is home!
