I'm in the process of moving out and into a house, but wouldn't hesitate to rent with Pixie again. Julia and the staff are responsive, friendly, and flexible. Apartment was in a great location in Heritage Hill and I loved being able to walk downtown and to Martha's. My dog loved it too! The key-code locks took a little getting used to but I appreciate not having to bring my keys with me — and the ease of sharing it with friends/family. Overall a great experience!

I lived in one of their homes last year and it was by far the worst living arrangement I have ever had. When we moved in, there was still dog poop from the previous tenants ground into the floor. They told us the reason they hadn't cleaned it because they didn't have enough time, but we needed to move in because we had nowhere else to live because that was our decided move-in date. There were also mice in the home that they took a long time to take care of. Many light fixtures were missing. One of the fire alarms was missing for months even though we repeatedly informed them. Whenever we emailed them maintenance requests they took weeks to get back to us or just never responded. The windows did not all have screens, some of them didn't open, some wouldn't close, and some windows were broken. Cabinet doors were missing for the whole year we lived there even though when we moved in they had told us they'd put them there. The basement flooded during a storm, soaking all clothes in the laundry room that was down there. They finally began to fix the issues with the house after we called the city and had an inspector come and make a list of things that were breaking the law for how bad the living conditions were. Even then, not everything was fixed, but we were moving out soon so we stopped trying.
Correspondence with Properties by Pixie was VERY unprofessional. When they received word of the inspection, they did their own inspection and told us when we painted the room it looked like a "kindergartener's paint job" and were not hospitable over the phone ever.
