I don't know what these other reviews are about. Maggie is wonderful and she worked with me from the beginning to end. I love my dress and the bridemaids got their dresses there too and the process was flawless. My dress took a little bit longer to come in than expected but I was updated on the shipping time. Definitely would recommend!

I was very disappointed with the bridesmaid dress and service I received at the Renee Austin Boutique on Bridge in Grand Rapids. It took about four months for the dress to come in and I was not fitted properly. When the dress came in, it was too small and I was told repeatedly by staff that the dress was suppose to look like that and it looked great. I wasn't convinced. When I got home, I tried the dress on for my husband and we couldn't even get the dress to zip up. I'm still wondering how they managed to zip it up. I was very upset and the boutique wouldn't do anything with my complaint stating that their dresses always need to be altered when they arrive. I was never once told this the entire time dealing with them. I had to take the dress to an alteration place, which was only able to make the dress a little bigger due to the fit and lack of extra material to work with. I ended up paying over two hundred dollars for a dress that didn't fit even after alterations. I am honestly disgusted with how I was treated and the poor service I was given. Please think twice before going there.

I had a very bad experience with Rene Austin Wedding. I came in for a bridesmaids dress and was told to order a size larger (even though the dress I had on fit well, if not a tad large) and felt the whole entire appointment like the consultant was judging me. She made it very clear and apparent that even though I was in between sizes, that I should order a size and a half larger because in her opinion I would only get bigger, not smaller. Not too great for the self esteem, not to mention I am a pretty athletic and stubborn person, which she did not care to know. The whole thing created a big problem with the bride, because thanks to the bridal consultant, the bride was super nervous that I would not fit into my dress! So I have spent 3 months having to keep telling the bride not to worry. I have also had to fight the gossip around our family thanks to this consultant. When the dresses finally came in, I went in to try it on and told another consultant about the whole situation and she felt the need to cover the other consultants tush and told me that she would have done the same thing and that the dress (the one I had on while she was saying this) was a tad small, which was almost comical to me because it could not have fit better. I had no bulges anywhere, it was comfortable, and it looked good! I left the store even more furious than I was coming in! I would say if you are not a size 2, I would not suggest coming to this boutique. You will end up feeling bad about yourself, which is absolutely the last thing a bridal boutique should be making you feel!!! I can only imagine what some brides must feel like. I am also getting married this year and I will go out of my way to NOT get my bridesmaids dresses from here and to tell my family and friends to not support a bridal boutique that made me feel embarrassed, self-conscious, and frustrated.
