Customer service was horrible and prices riduculous.

The softener was in the house when I bought it. I called them because their name was on it.

I was NEVER told of a service call fee either time i set an appointment until I was charged one.

I don't know about water softeners. I tried explaining what was happening and he repeatedly interrupted me and wouldn't let me finish. When he interrupted me, it was to argue with me and telling me what I said was happening was wrong.

The salt of our water softener did not go down and thus we called them to fix it. They charged nearly $100 service fee, and they replaces a small plastic part, which at most cost $5 but they charged me $45 for parts. The worst thing is, after only two months, the salt did not go down again. We called them but they did not want to come (and they didn't) unless we pay the nearly $100 service fee again, although they told me that they have one-year guarantee of their service!!

Bought a water softener from Spencer's over 15 years ago and never needed service until today. Sad to say it needs replaced....but happy it out lasted the industry average by more than three years. We called Spencer's late yesterday afternoon, they were here to check on the system this morning, and will be back tomorrow morning to install a complete new system for less than I paid 15 years ago. Terrible customer service also overpriced. I checked out a couple of other places after I used Spencer's, the services were half the price of Spencer's. On top of over charging consumers their employees are extremely rude. Therefore, I will never use their services again.
