Adam AufderHeide, MD, PhD is an ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases affecting the macula, retina, and vitreous. He attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Applied Biology and Biomedical Engineering. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he received a Ph. D. in Bioengineering at Rice University. In 2006, he attended Baylor College of Medicine. After graduating in 2010, Dr. AufderHeide moved to Kansas and completed his residency in ophthalmology at The University of Kansas, KU Eye Center. He then completed a 2-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the world renowned Charles Retina Institute in Germantown, Tennessee.
