Denison Biological Reserve

The Biological Reserve is 350 acres including forest, orchards, old plantations, ponds, and former agricultural fields and is commonly used for research at Denison University. It was established by the Board of Trustees in 1966 through the efforts of Professor Robert Alrutz, who served as director until his retirement in 1990. The Reserve encompasses 350 acres in three contiguous sections that are within easy walking distance of campus.
