Good food. Bone in rib eye was on point. Wife ate whole fish plate. Service took some time even for a late dinner.

I won't be going back to this restaurant. When we first walked through the doors it smelt like day old fish. No manager on duty. Not enough servers. Dirty glasses and poor quality hostess service with little or no experience. The bathroom was ill designed with trash on the floor and just no clean. When this was brought up to an employee I just got a chuckle and no concern. Too many other great places to eat in Grapevine to settle for this.

Nice atmosphere with a (not to...

Nice atmosphere with a (not too intrusive) piano playing in the dining room. A nice menu and good food. Decent wine list with both mid-range and upper end wines. The filet was very good, as was the sea bass. Our server was good, but he was very pressed and even sweating profusely all throughout our meal... I'd give this a second chance, as one never knows if they were short a waiter, plus it was a busy Saturday evening.

My biggest gripe was that I've never seen where a restaurant adds an automatic gratuity for a party of two. They added a 20% tip to the total food AND wine charge. Seriously? a $98 bottle of wine plus dinner was just under $200. And they added a $40 tip and left a line for additional tip. I'm okay with this when it's a large party; but a with two-top and having borderline service, this left a bad taste in my mouth.

I worked through college in a high-end restaurant and have always been a sympathetic restaurant patron and good tipper. 25%+ for everything great... but 15% if I barely get my expectations met. This was an experience where the latter would apply, but Dino's seems to think 20% is the minimum for their service. It wasn't that good. It barely met my expectations.

Seriously... a $20 tip to merely OPEN the wine? (Other than the first glass, I poured our wine because our waiter was too busy?) And another $20 tip for marginal service (granted, on good food) for a $40 tip total with no personal freedom to tip as appropriate? I'd add additional if warranted, but I also want the choice to go below 20% when warranted. This dining experience warranted less.

We won't be back.
