Bitney Springs High School is a small college preparatory public high school in Grass Valley, Calif., serving students in Nevada City, Penn Valley, Rough and Ready, Chicago Park and Auburn, Calif. BSHS was founded by the Bitney Springs Charter Council in 1998. BSHS is a tuition-free charter school and falls under the jurisdiction of the Twin Ridges School District of Nevada County. The school prepares its students for college and university education and to achieve academic success and to contribute to the school community through initiatives.
