Hospice of the Foothills is a community-based nonprofit organization serving terminally ill patients and their families in western Nevada County in California. The center provides a wide range of services, such as pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual counseling, professional nursing care, personal care, medications and bereavement support. It receives funds from community donations and the revenues generated from its gift store. It also gets financial support through fundraising events organized by the Friends of Hospice that is a nonprofit volunteer organization.
