As an ATRA member our automatic transmission repair shop adheres to the service and repair definitions which are a part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics. Mel's Transmission pledges to all of our customers that we will not remove a transmission from a vehicle in order to complete a repair unless absolutely necessary. Additionally our shop promises to diagnose transmission problems for all of our local and surrounding area customers in an honest and expert manner. This is a top notch business! I've been doing business with them for years and they have always treated me very well. Even when they could have charged me a lot, they have been more than fair; completely professional and totally honest. Mark, the shop's head mechanic, once road tested my truck that was misbehaving, driving it for a good quarter hour, and finally decided it just needed a simple adjustment which he did all without any charge to me. I recommend Mel's Transmission very highly and will always go back to them!

i certainly would not go to them again. although i appreciate that they took the time (since my car wouldnt make the weird noise when i needed it too), i left it overnight like they asked and the next morning my camera disappeared. I had left it in my glovebox and they were the only ones w/ access to my car, so i do know it was them. i do NOT recommend them.
