Provided by YP.comFassbinder Construction, Inc. totally disagrees with Terry Kaul in this post.
Fassbinder Construction, Inc. has an impeccable reputation in building new homes in the Lake County area, they have built hundreds of homes in the in the past 25 years. When building a custom home, the homeowners have the ability to pick and choose all of their mechanicals such as plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, flooring, appliances, windows, etc. So as for using sub standard materials Fassbinder Construction, Inc. does not have a say in that regard.
She stated that she is getting quotes to replace rotten windows that are only 12 years old. If that were the case she should have contacted Lincoln Windows directly. Fassbinder Construction, Inc. does not manufacture windows. Our records indicate that this home may have had an indoor pool which Fassbinder Construction did not contract. This may have caused excessive moisture in the house and contributed to window damage. It is possible that the window damage was from an indoor pool or from not maintaining the outside caulking. Fassbinder Construction, Inc. can not be held responsible for the lack of maintenance for the past 14 years.
She also stated that the insulation was not up to code and that there was no insulation in the slanted ceilings. This has to be a totally false accusation. When building a new house the installation of insulation has to be inspected prior to drywall by a Lake County inspector, this would have never passed the inspection and drywall would not have been installed.
I am sorry she was disappointed with the purchase of this used house, but it was not because of the builder of 14 years ago. With proper care are homes should last a life time.

Provided by YP.comWe recently purchased a home built by Fassbinder in 2000. I don't know the original cost, but it was listed for over $1,000,000 when we purchased it. Dealing with poor quality workmanship and contractor-grade equipment and fixtures has cost us several hundred thousand dollars. And now we are getting quotes to replace rotted windows (they used Lincoln windows that are only 12 years old). I'm getting used to seeing workman come in and shake their head at the mess they've been called in to clean up. Furthermore, the insulation was not up to code. As a matter of fact, there was NO insulation in the slanted ceilings in our house. We had to pay to have the drywall ripped down and insulation installed. It has been quite a disappointment. I would not recommend Fassbinder Construction.
