Oh, where do I begin...1st and foremost the Owner (Sharon Mims), recruited 7 individuals for her tax preparation course via Craigslist. We were told that the registration fee for materials would be approx $119.00, upon completion of the class we would receive a certificate of completion, and that she would hire-on eligible candidates from her class to staff her new office in the Grayson, Ga area. Its a recession guys, and that's a lot of money to fork over for a tax class; especially when Liberty Tax and H & R Block training is under $50, and they give you job placement. Well, since she practically guaranteed employment, most of us gave her our hard earned money to secure a job. During the course of training, Sharon solicited help from her students in last minute repairs (painting, tiling) of the new office. The few that volunteered their help were willing to do what it took to help get the office up and running for the tax season. At the end of training (Jan 31st) those that made the cut were given job offers and given a start date. What happens next is completely horrible. and diminishes all good faith I have in entrepreneurs .Since opening of the new office (2 weeks later than we were told), the hrs were drastically reduced...approximately 1 month after opening, EVERYONE she hired-on was laid off (minus 1 guy she hired-on WHO DIDN'T EVEN ATTEND THE TRAINING CLASS), and NOONE has been paid to date for the time that we worked. ....This woman has absolutely no business etiquette what so ever..She has a very foul mouth, and overstates her net worth to potential clients and employees. She uses people's time, energy and funds to her advantage. But what she doesn't know is that her business will not prosper that way, and I expect her business fold within the year. She probably is looking forward to the loss anyway.
