In 1991, Brian and Karen Perdue founded Salon 124 in Snellville, Ga. The company offers an upscale salon experience in a suburban setting. Salon 124 set up a unique pricing structure commensurate with the level of expertise and training of each stylist. The salon has grown to include a second location in Snellville, Ga., as well as Roswell and Duluth, Ga., locations. The Process Advanced Training Academy, also located in Snellville, began training aspiring stylists in 1999. Salon 124 schedules 45-minute appointments for cuts and styling, allowing the stylists time necessary to discuss each customer s particular needs. As a stylist finishes a client s hair, they teach them techniques and advise products necessary to maintain a particular style. As a convenience, Salon 124 s staff suggests scheduling appointment and advises customers of a reminder call at least 24 hours in advance.
