I'm always looking for new and better ways to diagnose and treat kids with communication challenges. I believe an accurate diagnosis is a critically important prerequisite for therapy and I take lots of time to delve into each child's unique situation using standardized tests, clinical observation, and interviews with parents and teachers. I then study the latest scientific literature to see if there are any developments relevant to the child I'm evaluating. While I consider information from all sources, I make up my own mind about what's going with each child and I don't accept easy answers. Then I use my extensive experience working with kids to tailor a treatment protocol that works. I never give up on a child and I usually can find a way to help a child make progress, no matter how serious their communication difficulty is and no matter how many previous experiences with speech therapy have been unsuccessful. I really love kids and I love what I do.
