Great Bend High School serves the educational needs of more than 1,000 students enrolled in grade nine through 12. The school offers instruction in various subjects, including English, foreign languages, business studies, health education, mathematics, science and technology, social studies, family and consumer science, fine arts, vocal and instrumental music and physical education. It is vocational department offers courses in drafting and design, computer-aided drafting and advanced computer-aided design. It offers various sports programs, including football, basketball and cross country. The school has a fully equipped library and media center that offers various student research links and resources. Located in Great Bend, Kan., the school operates under the guidelines set by the Great Bend School District.
