Been using them for years for several pet's and I couldn't be happier. Very nice people that care about the "kids"!

I have known Dr. Rick Helms for many years and he has always taken care of our pets and us. He never rushes you as busy as he is. He always returns my calls. He has done top notch A plus vet care to my animals. His staff is very nice and helpful. Out of anyone in town Great Falls Veterinary Service is the place to go. You will be disappointed if you don't.

I took my dog here to get his teeth cleaned and warts removed. The front desk girls were more informative and kind than the doctor. When I'd ask the doc (on several different occasions) information on the procedure, he'd act as if he were in a hurry and annoyed. I told him that I didn't want any prescriptions being sent home that weren't completely necessary, because I keep my pup healthy through natural homeopathy. When I went to pick my dog up I asked the doctor about aftercare instructions and he responded "I thought you knew." In a pretentious tone as if he were offended I didn't want to stuff my dog full of chemicals (that destroy his immune system). I mean, the stitches look clean, but being the person that expects compassion from their vet, I felt like there was none. Just another doctor looking to fill prescriptions with no compassion. I was not impressed with his people skills and because of that he has lost my business. I would not recommend him.

I have always done business with GFVS for many years. On May 10, 2009 my Cocker Spaniel went into seizures. I called GFVS and their answering machine picked up and said they were remodeling and if it was an emergency to leave a message and someone would contact you. I left a message and her it is July 18, 2010 and I am still waiting to hear from them. Of course Angel died and the reason I am posting this review is because I just got another card telling me my dead dog needs her rabies shots! I will never return to GFVS as long as I have pets.

Dr Rick & his staff have taken care of all of my animals since he has come to Great Falls. You won't find a more competent, compassionate & accomodating vet & staff in the area. Five stars for years...
